Middle
Fork of the Salmon June
11 - 16, 2010
Price: $1850
Regarded as one of the best wilderness whitewater trips in the world, the Middle Fork has it all:
clear water, hot springs, spectacular canyons, and over 100 rapids. From the put-in at Boundary Creek
to the Cache Bar take-out you will spend six days and five nights paddling the 105 miles of the Middle Fork
of the Salmon.
Your instructors will point out all the best play spots and will help
you develop your skills on the Middle Fork’s class III-IV whitewater.
Middle Fork River Expeditions provides raft support. All you have to do at camp is relax, enjoy gourmet meals, and take in the beauty of the
'River of No Return' wilderness. This first class service allows you to fully enjoy your whitewater while we do all the work.
A unique element of Tarkio’s trip on the Middle Fork is that our outfitter allows us to maintain a close student-to-instructor
ratio (usually 4:1). This ratio instills confidence in tentative paddlers and affords advanced boaters the chance to refine
technique. Rememeber there is a rafting option. If you would like to kayak and your friend or partner would prefer to raft, we can accommodate everyone!
Skill Level: Class III boating skills; ‘river roll’ recommended *rafting is an option
