	Tarkio Kayak Adventures
	Tarkio Kayak Adventures provides a wide range of clinics and trips, as well as private instruction/guiding. We host Lochsa River Clinics, Youth Clinics, trips on the Middle Fork of the Salmon and the Main Salmon. In the off-season Tarkio offers international whitewater trips to exotic locations such as Panama (fall), Chile/Argentina (winter), New Zealand (winter), China (winter), and Bhutan (fall). Who know where in the world the future will take us?
	Tarkio Kayak Adventures is based in Missoula, Montana, home to the Alberton Gorge Run on the Clark Fork River. Countless days have been spent enjoying the playful rapids of the Gorge and the beauty of the canyon scenery. Other frequently paddled rivers in the neighborhood include the Lochsa River, the Middle Fork of the Salmon and the Main Salmon. There is an abundant amount of high-quality whitewater in Tarkio's backyard to share with others.
	For many years Land and Erica Heflin have been the backbone of Tarkio Kayak Adventures. Together they carry out a variety of tasks and responsiblities to keep Tarkio opertarations running smooth, from start to finish. The Heflins work hard to maintain the philosophy, lifestyle and ideals that make Tarkio the unique adventure company it is. Takio Kayak Adventures was originally founded in 1997 by Brennan Guth. Brennan's vision was to create a community for paddlers to come together and enjoy the beautiful rivers of the world. What better way than to be guided by the best qualified instructors; people who call the river their home? Through clinics, multi-day instruction and river trips, people have the ability to improve their paddling skills while exploring remote canyons and live together on the river.....and the vision continues!
	The Tarkio Team includes some of the best-known paddlers and instructors in the whitewater world. Not only that, they are a just one heck of a high quality, fun-loving group of people. Our veteran instructors include Land Heflin, Willie Kern, Johnnie Kern, Whitney Lonsdale, Dunbar Hardy, Shawn Robertson, Polly Green, Jed Weingarten and Tracy Bowerman. The members of this team are people who love the outdoors and wish to share their countless years of whitewater experience and passion for the river with others.
