POLK DETERS

Polk Deters is well respected and known for his global explorations and fluid teaching style. His welcoming smile is infectious and his river skills are as solid as it gets. When he is not on a Tarkio trip, Polk spends his year travelling the world and teaching at NOLS (National Outdoor Leadership School). When Polk is not testing Johnnie’s boats or knocking off first descents, he’s been know to swing a hammer while visiting his base while in Denver, Colorado. Currently Polk is travelling and teaching for World Class Kayaking Academy, sculpting young prodigy kayakers.
