PETER KETTERING

A year-round paddler, guide, and instructor, Peter spends half the year guiding and teaching in New Zealand and the other half in California. He is the “lead” kayak instructor at both Otter Bar and the New Zealand Kayak School. As the former director of the Sir Edmund Hilary Outdoor Pursuit Center in New Zealand, Peter has vast knowledge in all areas of outdoor education. His years of experience teaching and guiding around the world make him an invaluable asset on the river. In the winter months, Peter can be found out on the rivers of New Zeland fly-fishing, kayaking or hanging with his sweetie, Vickie.
