THE HEFLIN CHILDREN: DAISY, BOULDER AND CECILIA

Constantly offering unconditional love, the Heflin children are a large part of Land and Erica’s daily life. They create a calming and comforting affect and continually tug on the Heflin heart-strings. Daisy and Boulder are 13-year-old Basset Hound/Aussie Shepard crosses and they are brother and sister. These gentle dogs love to accompany Land and Erica on their journeys, usually riding on the bed in the back of the Sprinter van. When they are unable to be a part of the adventure they often stay with Grandma Joy and “hold down the fort”, enjoy a deluxe couch-potato lifestyle. In 2008 Daisy and Boulder were the ring-bearers in Land and Erica’s wedding. R.I.P. 9-9-09 Cecilia, was the Hefiln’s 16-year-old cat yet she always behaved like a kitten. She provided loving warmth and excessive drool while always keeping the dogs in line. She was always in hot pursuit of Land during the day and strived to keep Erica awake all night. Cecilia was affectionately referred to as “The Monster” or “Captain Annoying” or “Night Prowler”. Land and Erica both “packed” squirt-guns on their nightstand tables to defend themselves.
